Who loves when pumpkin spiced lattes show up at your favorite coffee shop!?! I did! I remember I would drop my son off at preschool and make my loop through the drive-through at the coffee shop. That was until I began to learn more about what I was actually drinking. And what was most alarming to me was the added sugar. It has been several years since I have purchased one but I don’t miss it…. I now make my own.
One morning after I dropped my kiddos off at school, I put together a delicious recipe with real pumpkin. While the real pumpkin adds some great flavor, if you don’t have any on hand, don’t worry, it tastes great without it too!
Here is how you make your own pumpkin spiced coffee.
Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- 1 tsp real maple syrup
- Place all ingredients in a blender
- Mix
- Enjoy
Remember if you don’t have pumpkin puree, you can still get a great tasting coffee. Just add the other ingredients and blend.
