Looking for a little salsa to spice up a recipe or enjoy as a condiment? This salsa recipe is loaded with fresh ingredients.
It took a while to get this recipe just right and even while it is so simple, a little too much onion or jalapeno can change the flavor drastically. If you like it spicy, add a little bit larger jalapeno. If you don’t like too much heat, remove the seeds from the jalapeno.
- 1 jar whole tomatoes (We use Jovial) you could also use 7 to 8 whole fresh peeled tomatoes
- ½ small red onion
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 jalapeno
- Salt to taste
- Place all of the ingredients in a food processor. A blender can work well too, just try not to liquefy.
- Pulse about 10 times to desired consistency
- Serve and enjoy!
